Exploring Winter Solstice: A Time of Deep Yin and Knowing

Winter Solstice marks the moment of deepest Yin (least Energy) in the solar calendar. And in this Covid Winter, the natural quiet and darkness of this time of year is accentuated than any time in living memory. This is the time of year, where the Chi, (Vital Energy) has fallen with the leaves, now sunk down into the ground, and in our bodies’ organs, minds, and spirits. It is a time where we are more capable, perhaps more willing, of feeling that deeper, darker part of ourselves, and learning from it.

This is not a time to despair of the darkness, because now is as deep as it goes, because Winter Solstice marks the moment in Earth’s northern hemisphere where the return of the light occurs. Brighter days are just ahead.

This is a time to take note of where you are at this moment in your life, and the changes this moment calls for.

The important thing to remember health-wise this time of year is this: CONSERVE your energy—your Chi; by doing so, you’ll INVEST in your HEALTH.
